A jar of Carinara Cracked Pepper Tomato Free Pasta Sauce is displayed on a white marble surface surrounded by its raw ingredients, including fresh garlic, whole garlic, carrots, and peppercorns, against a clean white background.

Directions

Tip: Keep an eye on these in the oven. Puff pastry gets crispy quickly!

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a medium skillet, brown the sausage. Drain any excess grease.
  3. In a separate pan, sauté the leeks in olive oil until soft. Add them to the sausage and stir in half the thyme.
  4. Thinly slice the pear.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry to about ¼ inch thick and cut into 4 or 6 rectangles.
  6. On one half of each rectangle, layer pear slices, a scoop of the sausage and leek mixture, blue cheese, and a scoop of CARINARA.
  7. Fold each rectangle in half and seal the three open sides by pressing with a fork. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 20–30 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with the remaining thyme. Enjoy!

This is one of many combos we tried. Have fun experimenting with your own savory and sweet fillings!
