The Original CARINARA

I have MCAS which means anything that is high in histamine can be extremely dangerous for me. Unfortunately, this includes tomatoes in all forms. Pasta with tomato sauce/marinara has always been my go to comfort food, so losing it for so many years due to MCAS has been rough. Recently, my brother sent me a link to Carinara and after trying, both my fiancé and I were hooked. Gone are the days of bland pasta! It tastes pretty similar to marinara sauce, just a bit sweeter, and it's completely safe for me to eat since it's tomato-free. Can't beat a pasta night that doesn't end in an ICU admission. I think we've ordered 10 jars now and will continue to be loyal customers. Also, their customer service is fantastic when we've needed help with anything. Thank you Carinara team for giving me a bit of normalcy back!!

Taste was good. I would have liked for it to be thicker. Overall it is a great alternative to tomato sauce.

A nice alternative! I was told to limit tomatoes for acid reflux, so I found Carinara. I did find the sauce a bit on the thicker side, but as a true Italian knows, you always add some pasta water to your sauce anyways:) I did also add some salt, garlic and onion powder to kick the taste up a notch. No heartburn after dinner:)!

Love it! This is the first pasta sauce I've found that I can have since I eliminated tomatoes, sugar, vinegar, and dairy from my diet last year. I've really missed it! Doesn't taste like carrots, just tastes like solid, good pasta sauce. I wasn't expecting to buy more due to the cost, but it's worth it.
